Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps Performance in Oman Q1 2023

The first quarter of 2023 saw varying performances among the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Oman. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user trends for these leading apps.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a notable peak in weekly downloads, reaching approximately 1.3K in the last week of January. However, downloads decreased steadily, finishing the quarter at around 400. The app's weekly active users started at 29.0K and saw a gradual decline to approximately 32.8K by the end of March.

Careem – rides, food & more also showed a peak in weekly downloads towards the end of January, hitting around 700. This number decreased to about 190 by the last week of March. Active users for Careem started at 5.5K and remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at approximately 5.2K.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw weekly downloads peak at around 500 in early February but dropped to about 140 by the end of March. Active users for Bolt remained fairly consistent, starting at around 2K and ending the quarter at approximately 1.6K.

inDrive. Save on city rides had a gradual increase in weekly downloads, peaking at about 330 in early February before declining to around 150 by the end of March. The app's weekly active users started at 2.6K and saw a slight increase, maintaining around 2.8K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver showed a steady download rate with a peak of around 220 in late January, declining to about 140 by the end of March. Active users began at 924 and saw a minor decline, ending the quarter at approximately 826.
